I must throw a quick note out there. My wife and I have 7 children and a 15 passenger van. That means we travel, alot; to the Store, Market, Library, pharmacy ect. Many times on these trips I am pressured to talk to people or respond with a (Hi how are ya)
So I just wanted to share that when your scared to go out into public and you feel pressured to talk back, I keep my words to one syllables. In other words try to keep the conversation from going anywhere, I am a professional at being a chameleon. What I am saying is; Pray under your breath and keep your words to a minimum so you don't have to talk. Sometimes not making face to face contact will help.
Teach yourself to pray under your breath in public, then you may be encouraged enough to speak out loud. Then on the other hand there are those Bipolar that just blurt out anything and you can't keep them from talking.
My point however is; pray under your breath and see going out in public as a ministry. Look at people thru the eyes of Jesus. And pray for the people in the same grocery Isle as you. Or pray for the person in the wheel chair. I know this takes courage but if you really feel strongly about it go for it.... Maybe I'm just preaching to myself, I don't know.
First I must say I am not a Dr. or a Pshyc. But I have been counseling people with Bipolar Disorder since 1986.
If I don't have the answer we can grow through it together.
