Part 2 of Being bipolar doesn't mean your a failure. Renewing your mind.

In the last article I wrote that it is essential that we need to renew our minds through Gods Word. Although I know how difficult this truth is when were depressed or manic. But somehow we need to keep God and his word on the throne of our hearts and not self. This truth will help you tremendously.

Heres a verse about being renewed and transformed. Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We need to have the mind of christ.... For 20 years i tried to walk as a believer. But i would stay up at night crying.... Why can't I have the walk I saw in so many others (filled with the joy of the lord) I felt like a failure and blamed my bipolar.

My friends would say read your bible more, I did and still no change. Pray more, I did and still no change. They would tell me just go to church more... I did and still no change. Go to a seminar, get invold in ministry. I pastored churches for 25 years and even then still no change.

It wasn't until I got my eyes off myself and put jesus first on the throne of my life that change came, a real renewal of my mind, daily and moment by moment, again by renewing my mind through the scriptures believe it or not this is key.
Find a daily reading plan and begin your journey.

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Speaking of renewing our minds this can be done through another great verse...
2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

The reason as bipolar people, that our thoughts are so important to God is that they trigger a chain reaction... Our thoughts stir our emotions, our emotions stir our desires and our desires bring out our actions.
Does this make sense?

So yes as believers we already have the mind of christ it just needs to be produced by... again, renewing our minds.

Tired of reading the same thing? Sorry I just feel strongly about this especially as Bipolar people. Im sure there are many mistakes we've made in the past that we need healing from. maybe you have fears or insecurities, or are self-consience about yourself, ect. These are all things we need healing of....

I'm sorry I keep repeating myself but again renewing your mind will help tremendously.
